Work-Based Training (WBT)

”Work-Based Training”. (WBT) refers to the practical, on-the-job component for SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. Students will gain hands-on experience and skills in a real work environment, of a commercial kitchen. During WBT, students have the opportunity to apply the knowledge and techniques they have learned in the classroom to actual cooking and food preparation tasks and service periods. This type of training is invaluable for developing practical skills, gaining industry experience, and understanding the day-to-day operations of a commercial kitchen. Work-Based Training is complemented by theoretical learning in the classroom, and together they form a comprehensive training program that prepares students for a career and success in the culinary industry known as commercial cookery.
